24-Person Exploration Camp

To support the client’s exploration activities at Mt Richardson, Rapid Camps was engaged to design, supply, and install a 24-person workforce camp in a remote, challenging environment. The camp needed to be fully functional, self-sufficient, and rapidly deployable, ensuring that exploration crews had immediate access to secure, comfortable living conditions while working on-site. With efficiency and adaptability as key priorities, the project was designed to provide seamless operations in harsh conditions.

The remote nature of Mt Richardson meant that logistics and deployment speed were critical. Rapid Camps implemented modular construction techniques and leveraged a hybrid accommodation setup—combining caravans and containerised living units—to provide both flexibility and efficiency. This approach allowed for rapid installation, ensuring that the workforce could begin operations without unnecessary delays.

The project scope included fully equipped accommodation units, new high quality kitchen & dining facility, gym, & rec room to support to support workforce well-being in a remote location. The transportable nature of the camp also meant that it could be easily relocated or expanded to accommodate evolving project needs.
