30-Person Trailer Mounted Camp

To support demolition efforts at the Ellendale Diamond Mine, Rapid Camps was engaged to design, supply, install, cater and maintain a turnkey 30-person trailer-mounted workforce camp. The project required a fully functional, self-sufficient accommodation solution, ensuring workers had access to essential amenities while operating in a remote location. With a focus on efficiency, comfort, and environmental sustainability, the camp was tailored to meet the specific needs of rehabilitation personnel.

The remote nature of the site presented significant logistical challenges, including transportation constraints, no cell phone service and the need for rapid installation. To overcome these hurdles, Rapid Camps utilsed a trailer mounted camp and employed modular construction methods, allowing for quick deployment. The entire camp was successfully installed within six days, demonstrating efficient project execution.

The project scope included trailer-mounted accommodation units, a wastewater treatment plant to ensure environmental compliance, and a robust power infrastructure featuring two generators and a distribution board for a plug and play reliable energy supply. The camp was designed for comfort and efficiency, providing workers with safe, high-quality living conditions while supporting operations at the site.

Its modular design ensures future scalability, allowing for seamless expansion if required.
