100-Person Trailer-Mounted Camp

To support our client’s remote site operations, Rapid Camps was engaged to design, supply, construct & maintain a 100-person trailer-mounted workforce camp at Shay Gap. The project required a fast, scalable, and fully integrated accommodation solution, ensuring seamless site operations in a challenging environment. With workforce expansion demands increasing, the goal was to provide comfortable, functional, and self-sustaining living quarters for personnel while maintaining strict compliance with mining industry standards.

Operating in a remote location presented logistical challenges, requiring efficient planning and rapid mobilisation. To meet our client’s tight deadline, Rapid Camps utilised modular construction techniques for quick installation with minimal disruption to site activities. The camp was equipped with essential power, water, and communication systems, ensuring reliable infrastructure to support project workforce needs.

The project included both reverse osmosis and wastewater treatment plant to provide sustainable low-cost water solutions, three high-capacity generators for continuous power supply, and all-inclusive communications system to maintain seamless site connectivity. This plug-and-play solution enabled immediate occupancy, allowing the client’s workforce to transition smoothly into the camp.

The successful delivery of the Shay Gap camp reinforced Rapid Camps’ ability to execute complex remote accommodation projects with precision. By combining scalable infrastructure with robust utilities, the project demonstrated Rapid Camps’ commitment to workforce well-being, operational efficiency, and quality modular camp solutions for the mining sector.
